I may not have a Valentine but I have found a new love. I will probably name her Dasani.

Happy Valentine's Day! Uhh, do a lot of "coloring."

Dang fool, you bit her?!!!! [Tuesday, February 10th, 2009]
I don't condone what happened but I don't know what to be surprised more by: the fact that Chris Brown assaulted his girlfriend or that it's Chris Brown? I'm so LOLz about the entire situation. That kid is ruined. He's not only going to remembered as placing his hands on a female but he's going to be remembered as the guy that put his hands on Rhianna.

I wonder what each artist is going to be singing about from now on. No umbrellas, forevers, with yous, or P.S. I'm still not over yous. She'll sing about not taking crap from guys and he'll sing about how sorry he is and how to cherish yo' chick lol. See! You have to laugh at it!

Be the Change [Tuesday, January 20th, 2009]
[ music | Come On Over - Sean Paul feat. Estelle ]

I'm extremely jealous of the folks that hit up the Youth Ball for Obama's Inauguration Ball lol. I hate Kanye West (when he opens his mouth) but I love his music. I would've shelled out the seventy-five bucks for it, too.

I've never watched a live swearing mainly because a) no one really ever made a big deal about them and b) I loathed The Mini Bush. Just watching the live feed on my floor (literally, everyone on my floor at work was glued to their monitors or radios) gave me the chills. But I did my civic duty by being a part of history today. Admittently, he was not the presidentail candidate I selected but hey- I'd still like to be a huge part of that change because .

I know in the future that my children will ask me why Obama's being president was important. They will laugh knowing that I lived in an archaic day and age where the color of your skin made a difference. That ignorance will be, as they say, blissful. In a good way. In the best possible way.

It is 1:03 AM and I am working online at home. WTF. I'm really having a case of workheimer's disease because I don't know what I'm doing or why I'm still working at my shithole job. I got denied a raise and ever since then, I've been in a really foul mood about it.

Note to self: update resume and send out to more lucrative job companies that actually appreciate your ass.

More $$$ or less $$$ still equals more problems. Fuck. I just want a new purse! Lol.

This is not Days of Our Lives. [Tuesday, January 6th, 2009]
[ music | Alienated - Kery Hilson ]

I'm kind of behind in the world of Gossip Girl but am I led to believe that Dan banged his half-sister, Serena? Honestly, now. Diiiirty.

I pretty much postponed Christmas shopping for myself mainly because there wasn't anything that grabbed my attention. I'm glad I waited because I found a couple of things that cheered me up today. Thank God for 923487234 bajillion gift cards because I would've never chucked out some of the dough for these things, especially the sunglasses and the Miss Sixty coat. I'm so proud- between just those two items, I only spent about $137.00!

I cannot believe I am sick again. I nearly passed out in my office this afternoon. You know that flush feeling that comes over you? I swear that it felt like I was condemned to walk the Sahara Desert when in reality it probably was Antarctica in that mug. Times like this, I'm glad that one of my BFFs is a future-pharmacist and she tells me what to take to feel better. She thinks of ways to kill people every day with medicine lol.

I want to put Darren Sproles in my pocket :) [Saturday, January 3rd, 2009]
I've never felt my blood pressure shoot up so high (and low) while watching the Chargers. YAY for winning! Stupid Manning, lol.

Hopefully you all welcomed in a lovely 2009. I spent it making out with some toilet in Las Vegas. But OMG, it was grief getting out of work on NYE. I almost missed my flight since I got out of work around 7 and my flight was at 7:40. Never again...never!

Are you shopping for one? [Sunday, December 21st, 2008]
It is mighty difficult to cook for one. Of course, I only contemplated this while I navigated the waters known as Costco on a Sunday morning. I left that store with four items that resulted in $53.00!!! I use three exclamation marks because Costco never ceases to amaze me. I cannot just walk into Costco and not spend at least $50+. Damn them.

I am super glad that I was able to do all of my Christmas shopping in a timely fashion this year. I only had to hit up Macys to return two dinnerware sets because they would not fit in my microwave. I'm upset because they're exactly what I was looking for (pure white, no designs, square plates/bowls) and of course they don't fit my microwave. The door didn't even shut! GHETTO. I knew it was too good to be true.

There's this look of desperation on a lot of people's faces when they're shopping during the Christmas season. You've seen it, too. If you have too many questions about the item you're about to purchase, I say that you just pass on it and embrace the art of the gift card.

Oh yes, be ZEN on the road, please. Honestly. Or put rocks in your pants' pockets and walk into the ocean. Whatever comes first.

Damn, I need another roll of wrapping paper! [Monday, December 8th, 2008]
I love this time of year. From the weather to the clothes to being absolutely lazy. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!

My Christmas shopping is 90%+ complete. I can't stop looking at my wrapping paper! I kind of don't want to give the presents away for that very reason. I was majorly stoked to find hot pink/teal shades! I have such a love-hate relationship with wrapping presents, though. Wrapping the first two or three is therapeutic but the rest of the packages end up looking super-anal or super-sloppy. I'm actually proud of my shopping purchases this year. Not only did I stay under a budget, I thought I was extremely thoughtful about all the presents I purchased. I'm so proud!

The parentals are flying out to Hawaii for the holidays...while I stay back to suffer and work. Uhh, jealous much?! They're gone for three weeks but that's a long time when I see them all the time. Whatever, tis the season to party! I shall hopefully be in Las Vegas for NYE. It's kind of a stupid idea considering I snagged my airline ticket for a snazzy 58-bucks but I have no clue if I'll make my flight since it's month end at work. Freakin' work. I need a new job, you have no idea. I'm trying to breathe easy for the remaining twenty-three days of this blasted year.

But despite some bullshit-oh-woe-is-me situations, I have to say that I really like being 25. Everything just seems to make much more sense. Dare say, a lot of things are just a whole lot funnier.

THANK GOD WE'RE GETTING A NEW PRESIDENT.

That is all :) I hope you all voted. I'm off to eat a well-deserved burrito. But what the fuck! Why is Prop 8 passing?!!!! That shit needs to fail.

Target, Nordstrom, and Sephora. You could return a flaming bag of poop to them and they would always find a way to satisfy you with their company policy.

I always wanted to be Blair Waldorf! [Saturday, August 2nd, 2008]
[ music | My Baby - LL Cool J featuring The Dream ]

For such a basic ring, it took me forever to find it. I'm not much a ring girl, let alone real jewelry, but this suits my style. Thank you, Zales for having it on sale at 70% off! Don't mind my mangly hand :)

So those Stuart Weitzmans down there? HURT LIKE HELL. But oh my, they're so gorgeous and have snagged 9837249872934+ compliments today. After two weddings and one reception, they better be that hot! I'll probably toss them aside for the evening reception, though- I won't survive them. I put the shoe stretchers in so maybe they're a go!

Am I the only one still who has issues with double-sided tape? Women's arsenal gear gets complicated, I swear.

[ music | Bad Girl - Danity Kane feat. Missy Elliot ]

Yeah, yeah, we had an 'earthquake'. My desk and the windows were shaking at work. I survived Northridge, so those couple frightening seconds was just a sample of things to come.

Speaking of things to come, OMG *drool* I want one of these bad girls...in pink of course!

I've been using a rinky-dink laptop for the last three years and I miss having a desktop computer (not to mention sitting on the bed with bad posture). I have a sad feeling, though, that it's gonna be a slow piece of crap. I'm still shopping around for a new computer and in nerd-herd fashion, I'm really excited about it!

Ugh. Saturday commences wedding season for me. Back to back weekend drunken-reminiscing galore! The bachelorette party in Las Vegas was 'ok'. Personally, I would've never done a destination vacation with a party of twelve girls unless you want to go crazy. Aside from some unorganization, I have never club-hopped fives spots in one evening! LAX, I just want to say, 'thank you!' because without your bomb-ass drinks, I was sure I was going to have a shittay time in LV. It's nice not giving a damn :)

[ music | When I Grow Up - PCD ]

I totally meant to buy a pair of boring ol' work pumps in black and while I was perusing the clearance aisle at DSW, I see these bad girls screaming at me...scuh-reaming! I know there's a ton of red pumps out there but there is no red that comes close to the trademark Quasar Red of Stuart Weitzman - it's really that hard to miss. It's sex, candy, and a car all rolled into one!

Ok, so, like being an adult? FUN! And not so much fun. )

If you seriously have to ask, then you probably can't afford it. [Friday, March 7th, 2008]
No shit.

My BFF is pretty much moving away for pharmacy school this summer so I'm trying to spend as much time with her and our other friends before she trots to make crystal meth in some lab. For the longest time, we were trying to figure out our next destination. We argued on the Bay, Vegas, Seattle, Canadia (personally, I was gunning for this), Miami, Kona...

We settled on New York! I don't know why I agreed to this, though. I could barely handle people at Union Square in SF. I had to contain the urge to slap people there. I'm genetically engineered to have a huge personal bubble at all times.

The price for airline tickets was pretty much what I expected ($300+ via JetBlue) but I wanted to die when I saw the hotel prices for a 5-day stay. I WANTED TO DIE. Shiiiiit, I mean, who pays $2,000+ to stay at the Holiday Inn?! Some co-workers suggested that I stay in New Jersey since it's 20 minutes away and cheaper, to which I replied, "Hell no, I'm paying to see New York!" It doesn't help, either, that we're all indecisive about the date we want to leave in May due to work conflicts. I'm so antsy to book things before the prices go up for summer season.

Aside from the terrifying prices, I really am excited to go to the Big Apple (I'll even eat one in Times Square). The girls and I have decided we each have to plan out a day to do things and what we'd like to see. I automatically grabbed Gossip Girl Day. I want to know what it's like to be Blair Waldorf for one day in the Upper Eastside, dammit.
